The big boy of Red Hill's core range of beers, this is a nicely rounded Scotch Ale that delivers plenty of rich, hearty malt-driven goodness. The colour of burnished copper, it has a caramel and toffee sweetness and complementary chocolate flavours lightly balanced with the brewery's homegrown Goldings and Willamette hops. The brewers say the grain bill in this beer, which continues to fare well in awards competitions, took seven years to perfect so remains a tightly kept secret.
