Given Perth’s January temperatures have spent more time close to 40 degrees than any previous on record, it’s a wonder that the world’s longest conurbation isn’t awash with this kind of easy, breezy, moderate ABV, "drink in the moment" beer.
And while the crisp, Teflon-clean palate possibly features the faintest wisp of lime citrus character – possibly imagined – the reality is: a beer like Mexicali needs little assessment. In fact, the only question mark punters face is whether to insert more snacks or another icy cold gulp into their mouth, while chalking up another scorching, dry heat summer day.
