You might know them for their beers, but Molly Rose have been working away on a delightful mix of spirits for some time too. By bringing the two outfits under one roof - with the spirit side known as Véraison (itself a winemaking term) - it doesn’t just make for more kinds of drinks, but more chances to experiment and blend flavours too.
Orange Bramble is such a beer, with the blackberry and orange sour also featuring re-used gin botanicals. That combination helps the sour lean away from a two-note fruit beer and into a world that more closely resembles a citrus aperitif where refreshing orange is joined by herbal and woody notes. Having said that, there’s still plenty of fruit at play too with blackberry's presence substantial from the first sip and blending seamlessly into the beer’s upfront and lasting tartness.
