Christmas has come early for Banks fans, with the Melbourne brewery drawing on some of their favourite beers, hops, and styles as we reach the end of 2025. First up, Beach Season is more than just a name for their DDH IPA, which delivers an ocean's worth of tropical delights. Hopped with Citra (in both pellet and Cryo form), Galaxy, and Sabro, the hazy IPA delivers a whole load of passionfruit, mango, and rockmelon, with a soft hint of coconut swaying in too.
Cake Eater Krush & Talus is part of the brewery's long-running embrace of lactose and a hefty dose of oats in their IPAs, creating brews that are as slick and smooth as they come. This is certainly one thick beer; it pours with a golden, pale glow, and the soft mouthfeel lets those two hop varieties shine. Krush and Talus bring a tropical blend of guava and pineapple with loads of nectarine, a touch of green grape, and the slightest hint of pine.
Back In Drive delivers us to a far leaner world of hops. This Cali IPA features Peacharine and Mosaic served up in three different ways: pellets, Cryo, and Dynaboost. What a way to serve them too, with the IPA is super lean and softly bitter, creating a super refreshing supply of berry, orange, pine, and loads of peach. It tastes like eating a ripe fruit and scoffing down lollies at the same time.
Better yet, if you'd like some further summer refreshment that's less about the hops, Banks' Cantina has made a triumphant return too.
