Bold, bright, and unapologetically fun, Hyperbeam is a small batch release showcasing Luminosa hops blended with Citra Incognito, Wai-iti, Cashmere, and Nectaron. The grain bill features pale, malted oats, rolled oats, wheat, carapils and some lactose, while local producer Ferveo’s fresh English Ale II yeast strain fits the bill for this hazy style.
Pouring a hazy golden with a fluffy, long-lasting foam head, Hyperbeam looks as luscious as it tastes. The nose explodes with fruit punch and lemonade, stewed peaches in orange-infused syrup, and some toasted cereal that’ll remind you of Fruit Loops. The high alcohol is well-integrated on the palate, contributing to its velvety creamy texture. Light sweetness is perfectly balanced by just a whisper of bitterness.
Hyperbeam is packed with ripe tropical fruit flavours that linger like a summer sunset and won’t last long!
If there's a style Shapeshifter are renowned for as much as their oat cream IPAs, it's hazy IPAs, and Hive Mind is just that, and proves that when many minds come together, magic happens. The recipe was crafted after a hop rub sensory session with beer-loving consumers on a Sunday afternoon building on Shapeshifter’s engagement with their local community. The local theme continues with the use of the same hazy-friendly liquid yeast found in Hyperbeam.
Appearing pale golden with dense haze and foamy head, it’s as inviting as a sunlit orchard. The aroma greets you with a vibrant medley of fresh peach, orange, honeydew melon, and pineapple confection, rounded out by biscuity malt notes. The first sip delivers baked peach tart vibes with a juicy, smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel thanks to the malted oats, spelt and wheat. The low bitterness allows tropical candy flavours to shine, and a vanilla-like finish wraps things up.
Hive Mind is more than a beer: it’s a celebration of community and creativity.
