Hobart Brewing's cans have a pleasing straightforwardness to them: block colours, simple design, name of beer boldly front and centre. With Lager, a new addition to the lineup in 2024, you could argue that, in choosing to put two shades of silver / grey together, they've come up with the most straightforward of their cans to date. And, presumably, that's no accident.
Why? Because Lager is just a nice drinking beer. Malt led and pouring a very lightly hazy gold, you'll find a little spicy hop aroma and a touch of melon to taste courtesy of that most lagery of hops, Hallertau Tradition, and a pleasant clip of bitterness. Nothing more, nothing less.
