Sure, they make plenty of styles and often don’t mind creating liquid desserts, but IPAs are never far from the collective minds of Good Land Brewing. Want proof? Here are three released in quick succession. Maybe that dedication is thanks to certain Wavelengths, which in this case is a hazy IPA created to showcase the favourite hops of the siblings who steer all good beer at Good Land, Jimmy and Jesse Krekelberg. It means they’ve designed this tropical delight to really show off Citra and Galaxy, and when you combine that American hit with Australia’s wonder hop, you get plenty of passionfruit, pineapple, and mandarin in a very soft and juicy package.
Turning into clearer territory is Hey Jude, and while it might not quite be a beer that looks as far back as Beatlemania, there is a sense of retro about the West Coast IPA. That’s largely thanks to its prominent malt sweetness and a classic US trio of hops in Chinook, Simcoe, and Cascade that provide pine, berry, and grapefruit in a bitter resin bomb.
Then it’s back to hazy, well, fuzzy territory with Fuzzy Bubble. The New Zealand IPA features Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Rakau for a whole load of stonefruit, white grape, and sherbety orange that certainly dances along the tongue in the way the name promises.
