Bonehead Brewing never seem short of friends, with the Kensington brewery frequently collaborating with mates from throughout the beer world and with other fellow travellers. Kensington Biter Ale has seen the brewery work closely with their new neighbours, Bakery Hill Distillery who recently opened their doors around the corner Bonehead. It also saw the booze makers enlist Hardiman’s Hotel for their knowledge of the local palate to make a beer by Kensingtonians, for Kensingtonians. Working closely together, the brewery used Bakery Hill’s malt and yeast to craft a try classic for the ages. Pouring with golden glow, there’s a biscuity sweetness at play that leans nicely into the mix of floral and marmalade hop characters and refreshing bitterness. If you live in Kensington and like pints, here’s your beer.
Blinkerwell meanwhile saw Bonehead cross the Maribyrnong to team up with Audacious Monk where they crafted a dark tribune to one of Europe’s oldest megastructures, a giant wall built in the Stone Age on the Baltic coastt. Marvel in the Baltic porter’s construct and find that it brings figs and further dark fruit, chocolate, a roasted edge and sweet by sessionabe finish.
Keeping in strong lager territory but on their lonesome is a humble Doppelbock that's part of their Brewhouse series. Here, there are swirls of caramel and rich molasses along with fresh bread, with a silky and slick mouthfeel, slight spice and lingering sweetness.
