No matter how much you love hops, it's unlikely you love them as much as Dr. Ron Beatson. And no matter how much you think you know about hops, you won't know as much as Ron. And the main reason for that is that he was probably responsible for actually developing some of the hops you love.
The kiwi "hop doctor" has helped NZ Hops transform from being a niche producer to growing little bundles of hoppy goodness that are now coveted around the world (things along the lines of the Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka and Motueka varieties).
